New York State allows for 30 days or 10 visits before you would need to have a prescription from an MD.

Rich Muscatello PT, MSPT, Co-Director

Rich earned both a Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from SUNY at Buffalo in 1981 and Daemen College in 2001 respectively. Since graduation, his years have been spent in physical therapy clinical practice serving individuals inconvenienced with orthopedic injuries and conditions involving the upper and lower extremities. In addition to extensive teaching experience at local college and university programs in physical therapy, he has lectured at local, state and national physical therapy conferences. Rich's current interest and educational pursuit involves integrating complementary health care practices such as Meditation, Mindfulness, Qigong and Yoga with local mainstream medicine and health care in the enhancement, maintenance and restoration of holistic health and well being. Jason Hills, PTA

Jason is a lifelong resident of the Buffalo area. After working for 10 years as an interior landscaper, he decided to change careers. He graduated from Villa Maria College in 2016 as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Since graduation, he has used his wonderful people skills and excellent work ethic while practicing orthopedic outpatient physical therapy and joined our Orchard Park team in 2019. Outside of work, he enjoys music, disc golf, mountain biking, kayaking, backpacking in the Adirondacks and spending time with his wife and dogs. Contact

Bob Pershyn, PTA

Bob originally graduated from Buffalo State College with a BA in English. After working for 14 years, he began his second career here at SportsFocus upon graduating from Niagara County Community College in 2006. He is enjoying working with a primarily orthopedic patient base, but has exposure to pediatric and neurological patients through his clinical affiliations. Bob will also be mentoring students interested in the field of physical therapy when they visit our clinic. Contact

Lori Sullivan, PTA

Lori graduated from Genesee Community College in 1993. She began her career at SportsFocus and worked with us for 16 years until starting her family. She gained experience in sub-acute, acute and home care settings before returning to SportsFocus in 2019. Lori is very happy to return to outpatient orthopedics at our Orchard Park office and looks forward to incorporating the interpersonal skills, techniques and therapeutic knowledge she has acquired to enhance the patient experience in our clinic. Contact

Jim Kuberka, CSCS

Jim is a 1984 graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with a BS in Exercise Science and has worked with rehabilitation patients since his graduation. He obtained his Strength and Conditioning Certification (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 1990. Jim is the director of our "Keep it Going” Wellness Program, with 25+ years of experience in designing and implementing exercise program and helping clients and patients meet their fitness and post rehabilitative goals . He is also responsible for ordering, fitting and servicing custom knee braces at our facility. Contact

Paul O'Keefe, PT

Paul graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1987. He has practiced at SportsFocus in our Orchard Park Location since 1990. In his capacity as center coordinator for clinical education, he manages incoming student interns from local colleges and universities. Contact


 


 

Terry Eagan, PT

A 1984 graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with a BS in Physical Therapy, Terry has been at SportsFocus since 1988 practicing in our Orchard Park location. In addition to her interest in musculoskeletal pathology of the extremities, she has previous experience in acute care, long-term care and home care. Dianna Pugliese, PT, Co-Director

Dee graduated from SUNYat Buffalo with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1983 and has spent her career treating patients with orthopedic diagnoses in a private practice setting. In addition to treating patients, she has lectured extensively for Daemen and D’Youville Physical Therapy Programs on her area of interest, the foot and ankle. Her post-graduate education has consisted of courses on specific tissue-level training, manual therapy and the McKenzie approach in the treatment of spinal disorders. Dee is currently seeing patients at our Buffalo office. Contact

Ryan Mitchell, PT, DPT

Ryan graduated from Daemen College in 2014 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and has worked in the orthopedic setting since graduating. Ryan joined our Buffalo office in July 2017. He is currently working towards attaining his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (McKenzie Method) and applies these techniques with other manual based approaches throughout his treatments. Ryan is a former collegiate Cross Country athlete for Daemen College and actively still participates with co-ed sports. Contact

Will Tso, PT, DPT

Will graduated from Daemen College in 2014 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy and has worked in various settings since graduating, traveling to Virginia and West Virginia before returning to Buffalo. He is currently working towards attaining his certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (McKenzie Method) and applies these techniques with other manual based approaches throughout his treatments. Anthony Albano, DPT, PT

Anthony joined our Buffalo office team in November of 2014 after graduating from D’Youville College.  Anthony completed his Advanced Orthopedic Certificate while completing his DPT degree.  He combines Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment (McKenzie Method) and Postural Restoration Institute methodologies in his individualized treatment approach. In his spare time, he is a coach and competitor weightlifter for Team WNY out of Crossfit Buffalo.

Dave Manzella, PT, DPT

Dave is a 1991 graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with a B.S. in Physical Therapy and has been with the company practicing in our Orchard Park office since graduation. He completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in 2006. Dave is also a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1997 with experience in sport and field coverage. Dave treats patients with both extremity and spinal diagnoses and has extensive post-graduate study in manual therapy and McKenzie treatment approaches. Contact

Crystal Portwood, PTA

Crystal graduated from Niagara County Community College with a Physical Therapist Assistant Degree in 2019. She started at our Buffalo office in January 2020. She has a previous Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from SUNY Brockport where she graduated in 2010.  In the time between her two degrees, she worked in horticulture.  She is enjoying her first job and we are happy to have her contributing her kind and compassionate nature to our team.  Crystal enjoys getting her exercise by participating in a women’s soccer league. Sarah Tabak, PTA

Sarah was added to our team in February 2012. She graduated with a BS degree in Exercise Science and minor in Health and Wellness from the University at Buffalo in 2007. She had the opportunity to work in the health and wellness field at Battleworks Inc. in Eden, specializing in worksite and community fitness and wellness education. She then went on to Villa Maria College and received her PTA in 2010. Sarah will be helping us out in both our Orchard Park and Buffalo offices. Contact

Vic Santarelli, PT, Cert. MDT

Vic graduated from Daeman College in 1992 and has been practicing Orthopedic Physical Therapy ever since. Vic has sponsored courses and co-taught continuing education courses around the country. He treats patients with both extremity and spinal diagnosis in our Orchard Park office and has extensive post graduate study in manual therapy with certification in mechanical diagnosis and therapy in the McKenzie treatment approach.
